08 Mar District One teachers salaries in Yuma have increased another 8%

YUMA — Employees with Yuma School District One have been excited to learn that a pay increase has been approved to begin July 1, 2023. With an approved salary increase of 8%, this brings the overall increase of teacher salaries at District One to more than 40% since 2018.
In a special meeting on February 11th, the Yuma School District One Governing Board voted to approve a compensation and benefits recommendation for the 2023 – 2024 school year. Several highlights of the approved plan include an increase in teacher salary, an increase in bus driver hourly wage, and the addition of benefits to several support positions.
With a culture of community and teamwork, encouraging employees to share feedback and make recommendations is a valued process. Using the feedback from fellow staff, the district makes a recommendation to the Governing Board.
After careful consideration of all information, the District One Governing Board approved the 2023 – 2024 Compensation Packet. District One continues to prioritize and value staff for their hard work and dedication to student success.
