09 May Arizona Cardinals come to Yuma
YUMA — The Arizona Cardinals are coming to Yuma!
AWC has invited the community to come out and join them in a mini-fan festival at Arizona Western College, featuring meet-and-greets with Cardinals players, cheerleaders, legends, and team mascot Big Red. All AWC staff and students are also encouraged to attend.

• Time: 4:00 pm-6:00 pm
• Location: 3C Courtyard, Breezeway, and grassy area at the AWC Yuma Campus, 2020 S. Ave. 8E.

There will be interactive inflatables and games for the whole family to enjoy. The inflatables will be the Cardinals Quarterback Toss, Field Goal Kick, Obstacle Course, and Big Red. The games will include Cardinals cornhole and Connect 4. There will also be tents and tables for giveaways and the Cardinals HR department to share career insight and current opportunities.
AWC will have student volunteers supporting the event and several tables set up to highlight some of the student leaders on campus. The event is part of AWC’s “Stress Less” event for finals week. AWC students will receive Sunshine Bags filled with stress balls, candy, and information about the AWC Health and Wellness Department.
Additionally, AWC students will be providing snacks to attendees while supplies last, including cotton candy, popcorn, and water. AWC will also be hosting an outdoor barbecue in collaboration with Sodexo. Event-goers will be able to purchase food, including burgers, hot dogs, barbecue chicken, coleslaw, lemonade, aguas frescas, and cookies.
The Yuma YMCA is also scheduled to support the event.
Earlier that same day, the Cardinals and AWC staff and students will pack emergency food boxes for local families in need.
