23 Mar AWC choir promotes winter choral concert, “With Songs of Rejoicing”

YUMA — AWC has been inviting the community to com out and enjoy its Winter Choral Concert, “With Songs of Rejoicing.”
The concert will feature AWC Chamber Singers under the direction of Deltrina D. Grimes and Yuma Chorale directed by Laura Surguine.
“The choirs will perform music selections that reign from the traditional choral repertoire as well as exciting, lesser-known compositions in Spanish and Latin. Several of our songs speak to the joy, peace, and comfort that music can bring,” said Grimes.
The performances will be held on Friday, March 24, at 7 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1550 S. 14th Ave., and Sunday, March 26, at 4 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 3030 S. 8th Ave.
The events are free and open to the public. Donations to benefit the AWC Music Department will be accepted.
