Back to school rodeo comes back July 15th

YUMA — Back to school rodeo is coming back July 15th, hosted by The City of Yuma. The event starts at 7:00 am, in the Yuma Civic Center parking lot, 1440 W. Desert Hills Drive.
At this drive-through event, the City will distribute a synch-styled backpack filled with school supplies such as pencils, crayons, paper, rulers, and notebooks/journals to the first 2,000 pre-K through eighth grade students to arrive. Backpacks are limited to one per child, and the child must be present to receive it.
The 2,000 backpacks are possible thanks to the community’s generous sponsors.
“Our community partners make this event a success every year,” said City of Yuma Special Events Coordinator Joanne Fiser. “Our goal of 2,000 backpacks filled with school supplies was met again. The kids and families appreciate everyone’s support. Thank you, Yuma!”
