15 Feb Gas station robbery leads to Valentine’s Day arrest in Yuma

YUMA — Deputies say a man entered a Chevron gas station on W 8th Street and robbed two store clerks.
According to the sheriff’s report, at around 1:00 in the morning on February 2, 2023, a man identified as Justin Decker approached the two store clerks and started to demand money. According to the report, Decker was “motioning towards his waistband.”
Both clerks decided to cooperate with his demand and were not hurt. The man that was identified in the incident, Decker, left the business with an undisclosed amount of money.
Deputies determined that Decker was their suspect because of security video at the location. Deputies picked up Decker and arrested him on Valentine’s Day . He was booked into Yuma County Detention Center on robbery.
