YUMA — A Yuma tradition returns with more space and new attractions as Tacos and Tunes takes place from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7 in historic downtown Yuma.
Live entertainment fills the entire event, headlined by Mr. Worldwide, “the ultimate Pitbull tribute,” who takes the main stage at 7:30 p.m.
The 200 block of Main Street will be “taco alley,” filled with taco vendors and festival treats such as roasted corn, shaved ice and other desserts.
Tacos and Tunes expands this year to include attractions on Madison Avenue, where a car show and other activities will take place. Other attractions include mariachis, a mechanical taco, margaritas by Chretin’s Mexican Restaurant and Cantina, cold beer, and the Little Amigos Play Area.
“I’m excited to see to the community support for this year,” said Special Events Coordinator Joanne Fiser. “It’s only the second annual Tacos and Tunes hosted in Historic Downtown Yuma. There will be so much festival fun and delicious tacos you won’t want it to end.”
While the usual downtown parking lots will be open, shuttle service will be available between downtown and Paradise Casino.
