08 Feb U.S. Air Force Band performs at Historic Yuma Theatre
YUMA — The U.S. Air Force Band of the Golden West will be performing on Wednesday February 22nd at 7:00 pm at the Historic Yuma Theatre. The concert is free to attend, but tickets are required. Reserve tickets online here. Tickets are first come, first served, and are expected to run out.
“It’s exciting to have the Air Force Band of the Golden West come to Yuma,” said Mayor Douglas Nicholls. “Yuma’s passion in supporting all branches of the US military will be rewarded by the talent and professional performance of the Air Force Band.”
Under the direction of Lt. Col. Cristina Moore Urrutia, this military musical unit is comprised of 45 talented and versatile active duty Airmen-musicians stationed at Travis Air Force Base in California. The ensemble serves the western region of the United States, touring California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, and Arizona. Musical selections include patriotic marches, jazz standards, pop hits, featured vocalists and more.
The Concert Band is the largest performing ensemble within the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West. It has performed for thousands of listeners in live concert appearances and for millions worldwide via its numerous recordings and television and radio broadcasts. Throughout its history, the Concert Band has collaborated with some of America’s leading band conductors, receiving enthusiastic critical acclaim as one of premier musical organizations of its kind. Its wide and varied programs offer something for everyone and is an excellent choice for family entertainment.
