23 Feb Windy days in Yuma, learn more about the winter weathers
YUMA — According to the National Weather Services, most of the Phoenix metro area is under a wind advisory until 8:00 pm. The winds will be between 25 and 35 miles per hour.
Gusts could get as high as 55 miles per hour. Weather Services say this will make driving conditions difficult, especially for larger vehicles. Minor tree damage is also possible.
The National Weather Service is strongly recommending to avoid travel during the storms in northern Arizona this week due to “treacherous driving conditions.”
Arizona Department of Transportation has been saying those who travel on other roadways during this week’s storms should be prepared to spend extended time on the road in extreme winter conditions.
