07 Mar Yuma Airshow coming to town March 11th
YUMA — The Yuma Airshow 2023 has been scheduled to be held at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma on March 11, 2023.
Gates open for the Saturday airshow at 9:00 a.m. The performances begin at 10:30 a.m. and conclude at approximately 1:00 p.m. Gates to access the show will close at 12:00 p.m. and no in-bound traffic will be admitted. Access to free general parking is on the south end of the air station off County 14th Street. Shuttles are available from the free parking area to the event entrance.
Yuma Airshow 2023 provides the community an opportunity to see aerial and ground performances for free, while interacting with Marines and Sailors aboard the installation. Some of this year’s performances include the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing Band, Marine Corps Mounted Color Guard, Military Free Fall School skydiving demo, Aftershock Jet Truck, Air Force F-35A Lightning II demo and P-51D Mustang Heritage Flight, aerial demonstrations by the Marine Corps’ F-35B Lightning II and MV-22B Osprey, and a Marine Corps aviation parade of flight.
The annual airshow is a signature event for MCAS Yuma and we expect a high volume of visitors. Carpooling is highly encouraged. Slower traffic patterns north of County 13 Road on Avenue 3 E are expected due to our security and safety measures. Please follow the signage and expect slower than normal flow of traffic if you are close to the air station.
The safety of all spectators and performers present at the airshow is paramount to us. This year we require that if you are attending the airshow and bring a bag, that it be clear. Additionally, all spectators will be processed through security screening prior to entering the flightline area.
